A visual treat awaits all Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal fans. Kamal Haasan, for the first time, is working with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in Unnai Pol Oruvan. This film is the Tamil remake of A Wednesday. Kamal will be playing Shah’s role, and Mohanlal will play Anupam Kher’s role.
Unnai Pol Oruvan is produced by Rajkamal Film International in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures. Shruthi Haasan will compose the music for the film.
The entire film, to be completed by May or mid June, is directed by Chakri Toleti, who graduated from Florida Film School in the US. Chakri is a close friend of Kamal Haasan, and the director has done cameo roles in Salangai Oli as the boy photographer and in Dasavathaaram as one of the scientists. Unnai Pol Oruvan has the distinction of being shot with the Red camera in 4k resolution.
Thotta Tharini is the art director; Cinematography is by Manoj Sony. Mohanlal has already completed his part of shooting and will start dubbing soon. We will soon get to see two legends of South Indian cinema together with a class performance!
